Cook & Talk. Taste of summer

Direct and creative cuisine: avant-garde and tradition in every dish.
The restaurant L’Aliança d’Anglès is located a few kilometers from our headquarters, in a small town in the province of Girona. Its philosophy is based on respecting the region, offering plenty of local and quality products, and on reinterpreting tradition with avant-garde techniques. The space, with a modernist charm and unique, authentic style, seeks to create a welcoming atmosphere that complements the gastronomic experience.

To complete the gastronomic experience, Álex and Cristina have considered comfort and aesthetics to be essential. The selection of tables and chairs reflects the innovative and avant-garde identity that resides in l’Aliança. The decision to not use a tablecloth to cover the Sandwich table is a daring but well-considered decision, because it follows l’Aliança’s philosophy of showcasing the product without masking it.

We asked Álex what flavour he would give the Goose chair: “it would be a sweet flavour, because its curves transmit calmness and sweetness, but on the other hand we love its modern, risky, groundbreaking and innovative touch, so we would give it a bit of “electricity” with acid notes”.

Cristina would pair the Goose with a Finca de Viladellops 2015 xarel·lo from Penedès. She comments: “It’s a structured and elegant wine like Vergés’ creations. Although time has gone by, it maintains the initial acidity of the xarel·lo, while proving its great ability to preserve its properties”.
