Catalina chair

Catalina is an honest, elegant, stackable and very versatile chair.

With a minimalist aesthetic, it is inspired by 20th century Catalan rationalist architecture, Catalina is a version of the traditional bulrush seat chair.

Its refined lines and intentionally simple geometry give centre stage to materials such as ash wood, rope and leather.

Designers

Andreu Carulla

Andreu Carulla, designer of the Bernardes and Catalina collection for Vergés, graduated from the Politécnica de Girona in 2002 with a degree in industrial design. Four years later, he founded is own studio, which has quickly become one of the country’s most versatile design firms. His projects, which include furniture, tableware, lighting, fashion and interior design, among others, stand out for their continuous exploration of material, old-school techniques and modern processes.
