Nela stool

‘…it looks like it has always been here’ Emiliana Design Studio

The Nela collection, designed by Emiliana Design Studio, is distinguished by its aesthetic and constructive simplicity.

The pieces are made of ash wood and the backrest seems to have been sculpted to delicately adapt to the back. The seat can be woven with different materials on its structure to offer a soft and comfortable sitting position.

Nela is a quiet, austere, balanced collection, without complexity or visual prominence, its versatility and timeless presence adapts naturally to any environment.

Emiliana Design Studio

Ana Mir and Emili Padrós, designers of the Naoshima stool, founded the Emiliana Design Studio in the late 90’s, just after graduating from Central Saint Martins in London. The studio is characterized by a multidisciplinary approach and a bold, curious attitude that allows them to effortlessly alternate between product and furniture design, space and exhibition design, and the production of unique pieces.
Emiliana Design Studio is currently in charge of artistic direction at Vergés.
